Lost

I lost them. They're gone. I'm sick. I'm sad. I'm heart broke.

Some how, the 2 most important rings I have are gone (besides the sweet little band that never comes off my finger). My wedding ring and the emerald ring Paul had custom made in Colombia for Leah when she was a baby. We have turned this house upside down and they are no where. Every other piece of jewelry is in place but these.

I never wear my diamond ring, I haven't for 7 years. So it was normal not to pay it attention when we moved into this home and put things away. We were cleaning out the jewelry boxes and noticed the 2 rings weren't there. Paul mentioned he thought he had locked them in the safe while he was staying in the motel for the month. Phew. Problem solved, they were safely locked away. My mind eased and I didn't think about it for a few days. But last night we checked and they weren't there.
I feel so sick about it. My ring wasn't big and expensive, glitzy and glamorous but it is priceless and I cant imagine replacing it. The emerald ring is one of a kind. Irreplaceable. I really hope some cleaning lady isn't wearing them, I really hope they arent in some dirty pawn shop in a display case. I really hope we find them.

I am so sorry about your rings. I would feel sick about them too!! I am sure that you've already prayed about them but every single time I have lost something and prayed about them I have found it. Maybe you should call the pawn shops around and see if someone did pawn them. My aunt had her wedding ring stolen and they found it at a local pawn shop. Good Luck... hope you find them.

Oh, I feel sick for you! I'm so sentimental about things like this. I'll keep your rings in my prayers. Seriously. This just makes my stomach churn.

Good luck!

Oh, Jaesi! I'm so sorry. I feel sick for you. I lost a ring that my Dad had made for me in Australia ... I still hope it turns up somewhere. I hope yours do too!

Bummer... I"m so sorry! Don't lose hope though. We lost Scott's wedding band and found it a year later! My fingers are crossed for you!

How awful!!! It may not help in this situation but if you put a knee-high on the hose of the vacuum you can vacuum in tight spots and catch anything smallish that might have been lost. By the way, it's really smart if you're using the carwash vacuum. I hear they find all kinds of treasures in their canisters.

Could they be here still? With a sticky-fingered packer?

Crossing our fingers and saying a prayer.

OH NO. I'm sorry, I know how you feel. Doesnt' matter the cost, the sentimental reasons alone are killer. Keep praying and hoping. Both times that I lost my diamond ring, it was over a month before they turned up. That was after I'd searched EVERYWHERE. Still nothing. Searched again. Nothing. Finally one day, they it was. GOOD LUCK LOVE!

I lost my wedding ring and couldn't find it for 4 months -- I was sick and prayed and prayed, and searched like crazy. Finally I turned around one day and looked at an area I had searched before but felt I needed to look there again, and there it was. I hope you are able to find these precious memory treasures!

I'm so, so sorry about the two lost rings. I really hope they turn up. April lost her baptism ring after a few years, and we thought we would never see it again. I was cleaning the car several years later, and it was between the seat cushions! Don't give up hope! You have the love that they signify, and that is most important! Write how you feel about each of them in your journal - and also in Leah's journal.
