Just a yittle thought

Its taken
1 year, 2 months, 28 days
or
454 days
or
10,896 hours
or
653,760 minutes

to realize

I am happy.
I am happy in this home.
I am happy in this town.
I am happy in this state.

I am happy in my
front porch sitting, Popsicle eating, firefly watching, neighbor visiting, children playing, sunset viewing, dirty house ditching, toad catching, spider web dodging
life.

That is all.
Enjoy your week friends.

[views may or may not change once winter comes knocking]

Friday Funny

[Email from a concerned friend]

Dear Friends,

Most of you know my wife went in for a small surgical procedure, a butt lift. She did not have the most pleasant of experiences. Although there was much improvement I wanted to show you how it turned out. Please, refrain from getting this procedure.

You will regret it !

Last week

The Otoe County Fair parade sounded like a good way to spend the last day of our free from school lives.
They even threw out nickels!
We made 45 cents that day.
First day of Kindergarten shot.
Dawning her new [to big for her] Sketchers she is so proud of.
Leah was the only kinnygartner to cry as she walked into class..
2 days in a row.
Tomorrow will make it 3.
(her dads anxiety genes)
okay fine, and her mothers.
Our kids are doomed.
But even still she makes my heart sing.
Tonight she asked us what sexy meant: I did my best to explain.
She then told us her 7 year old cousin AJ said
it meant "you get pregnant"

Oy.
3 little piggies all in a row...
(sugar free Schwanns pops, fantastic)
White kids cant jump
But they sure can haul training wheel down the street.
We solved the run away Maya issue by giving her tricycle away.
But then Paul felt bad and brought home a new bike.

Not the smartest idea ever.
But pretty damn hilarious seeing her pedal her little guts out.

And even funnier when they crash.

Leash

7:27 in the a.m.
Im making eggs for breakfast.
Sunny side up.
And raisin bran.
Maya is no where to be found.

This is the 17th time in 3 days I have found her here.
Time for a childs lock on the front door.
or
A leash.

I say a leash.

Excuse my morning breath.
And voice.
And the using of piss.
I hate that word.

I live a good life

The last 2 weeks were nonstop fun.
Well if you count flying with 3 kids alone, spending obscene amounts of cash on food that you never get to eat, sleeping in a queen size bed with 3 boogers noses, and missing a husband who was missing us, fun.

Good thing my perception of fun is warped.
wink.

So out we flew to Utah.

Then the mama cat took off.
I joined 7 other gorgeous girls for a few days in Park City Utah.
Up in the mountains, with overcast skies, with outlets galore, with girls that made me who I am, with junk food and carrots, and with hours spent laughing-reminiscing-understanding-enjoying-eating.
It was a BLAST.
And I cant wait to see you all (and the girlie's who couldn't make it) again next year.
Because there IS going to be a next year, yes? :)

Go to dinner with these girls, you will never want it to end.
Even if the food was blick.
2 beauty's inside and out-Bobbi and Rachel
Me, Bobbi, Ambur
Tracy and Ambur joined us for one night, the night that will live in....uh...dorkiness?
Let me just point out the one t-shirt I own. Cinco de Mayo- my anniversary. Paul and I have had these for 10 years. yikes.
Did I mention the Outlets galore?!! Well we were bad A's at shopping. Our husbands loved us.
Thanks to Beck, we always had fabulous photo op moments.
Mik'l and Becky- guess how many pictures they have of this pose over the years?
23,482.

Truth.

Thanks to Enc Luv- we were driven around in mommy style and comfort.

But whilst the cat was away
The mice did play....
and play they did.

A gorgeous weekend in Pine Valley

Where they shot pistols with this little devil.
And played for hours outside in the cool mountain air.
A day at the lake was not so bad either.
Maya knew what she was doing, flipping the tube wasnt hard at all.
Aunt Lyndsi knew how to make them happy-
Coke and pizza.
Countless hours in the evening were spent at the arena riding.
Leah is a way better cowgirl than her {get bucked off the horse and break her ace mother}
Maya was happy as long as she was right in the middle of the action and had a diet coke in her hand.
And if there wasn't action or soda- she would find it.
Naked or not.

But back we are.
Back to humidity.
Back to an almost painted house.
Back to a garden that is about dead.
Back to a week until summer is over.
Back to my own bed.
Back to dentist, doctor and eye appointments.
Back to church, school, and work responsibilities.
And
Back to Paul who surprised me with this.
(in yeller gold)

Which helps take the place of a piece of my lost stolen heart.

Hes good to me.
and my superficial wants and needs.
{wink.}

p.s. I went to my high school reunion. It was crazy fun.
But deserving of its own post.
maybe.
