I love horses, sunglasses, dads, sisters, ice cream, silly kids so you see...
We are a happy family.

Email Shmemail!!!

Here I go again.....
The mean bug bit me tonight and I need to get this off my chest...
I am so SICK of talking to my husband, the father of my children, my best friend, and so on and so on..... solely through email!!!
Yes yes....I should be thankful the days of letters in the mail that take weeks and even months to get back and forth are gone but come on!!! You cant tell me that the US Navy doesn't have better communication than a handful of computers on a ship that houses 5,000 sailors. Yes, there are phones but they are expensive and the reception is terrible and by the end of the conversation I am just ticked off cause I can hardly hear what he said. I cant write everything I want to say in an email. It almost a burden to sit down and type for 30 minutes telling about the day. Don't get me wrong....I love to write him. I'm just sick of not being able to talk to him.
Last year when Paul was gone, they saw about 8 countries so he could call when he was on land with good reception. This year....they are just sitting in the Persian Gulf.
I shouldn't complain. I know. He is the one stuck on a floating brick. I can kiss my kids and get in the car and drive, and do whatever I'd like. I just cant wait until this is all over and I can blab all of this to him in 2 minutes rather than typing you.

In a week I...

.... flew a 6 hour flight with 2 kiddos with success and only one diarrhea stint....wasn't me :)
....gave my hair a much needed cut and style
....spent 4 fabulous days in Pine Valley
.... have seen beautiful and wonderful family and friends that were long lost
....have eaten at just about every place I have been craving for 8 months, mmmm, but I have yet to go to Fairway Grill, Cafe Rio, Toms Deli, Texas Roadhouse...anyone care to join me?
....put the kids to bed at 730 and went out on the town. Twice! Ross and Target always hit the spot for me. :)
....am now the "mama Jaesi" to my 2 nieces and 1 nephew until Sunday night while my sis and he husband are in AZ.
....got a new set of wheels...a golf cart! Last night my Aunt Wendy from up the lane drove it down and handed me the keys! Ahh ya. We have spent a good amount of time already driving up and down the street to and from gram's house. Alls I gotta do is plug it in for a few hours and off we go!

Me being Cruella Deville most days.
The humidity.
The "no daddy" syndrome(we still will miss him of course but there will be extra stuff to do :)
Eating terribly. I no cookie when hubby gone so there for ramen and hot dogs most days.
Being afraid at night when I am by myself.
Calling to talk to family and everyone having a party there without us.
The rap music blasting from the neighbors at night.
The horrible horrible Im talking getting stuck on the free way in a tunnel under the ocean kind of traffic.

3 more days!!! We cant wait! Its fun to hear Leah talk about what she remembers from our past visits to Utah. I cant wait for Asher to make some of those same memories.

What I thought when I first saw Paul: I don't remember when I first saw him....we were very young.....but I do remember in H.S. he and his significant other would be lovey dovey in the hallways and it would GROSS ME OUT!!! But I also remember how good he looked in his football uniform...

If I am in a jam with Paul, tactics I use to get out of the doghouse: Ignore him until he feels worse about it....he..hee...thats rude but it usually works

Whoopsie....
I spilled the beans and haven't picked them up yet so here you go;
I am pregnant. What? Yes. What? Yes. This is what I kept doing over and over.
I think I am 2 or so months. But I am sicker than a dog. I never had morning sickness with my
first two so this is killing me. We went to N.C. over the weekend to visit Sam, Cherin, Jalen, Christian, and Brooklyn and pretty much the whole time I was their I was a toilet zombie!
I need advice and help. If this keeps up....I have no idea how I am going to make it out to Utah...I can just picture it.....2 kids screaming on a plane and me trying to politely barf into a doggie bag. No good.
Actually we were happy to find this news out but I just didn't think it would happen.
#3 will be here right after Asher turns 2 so that is good and we wanted another (or 2) before we end the Navy so I am excited (I just have to keep telling myself this)
So....advice to stop barfing please....pronto!!!

Rambles for today

It is 730 at night. My kids are asleep!! I quite enjoy the reward of no nap days if we can make it to the end to put the kids to bed by 630. But its those last few hours of afternoon that are killer. I become a mean mom and don't know how to handle tired whiny children. Often times I will give in and stuff their sweet beautiful faces with sweets to quiet them for a bit. Leah got into the Country Time lemonade mix tonight and I didn't even care. It took a big chunk out of the ticking clock and by the time she was done it was "wash your hands and go lay down." She did just that. Oh my little sweet Asher. He really has the "daddy gone" syndrome and lets me know it every chance he can. I didn't realize that even a one year old can be affected so strongly with big changes. He has thrown far worse fits that Leah ever has or does. I'm nervous for whats ahead in his future. He certainly got some of his fathers fire in him. Its a good fire though.
Plane tickets have been bought! I know you are all just absolutely thrilled! We are making a grand entrance the 15th of Aug. and staying for who knows. We are sooooo excited to come and feel the familiar heat of the St George valley. But I am a bit sad to leave here. We have the greatest neighbors on earth, not to mention Leah's boyfriend Johnny. I feel like I am starting to fit into my ward these days and it will be completely different when I come back. Plus the beach and the pool haven't been to bad either. I just want to thank all of you for being my comfort so to speak....I love my routines of constantly checking in on everyone to see what their lives are up to. So keep it up! Even if I don't know you. Because if you are reading this then chances are Im stalking you too! I love to hear everything from love stories to baby poop. Adios.
