I grew up down a dirt road. Behind my parents house is 120 acres of land that has never been developed..and thanks to the crappy economy wont be for a long time.
This land has a pond, a creek, woods, coyotes, creatures, cows, cow pies, and sometimes a bum or two. (yikes)
The acreage was ours to roam, make huts, build forts (a nice underground hut we were so proud of till a cow fell into it), build tee pees, have picnics, get muddy, have wars, and on and on....
I have so many great memories every time I venture down there.
One morning literally right after we woke up, we decided to go crawdad catchin. It wasnt very successful but my kids got a little taste of what used to be mine.
The "crick"
And what a great taste it was.
