Lost

I lost them. They're gone. I'm sick. I'm sad. I'm heart broke.

Some how, the 2 most important rings I have are gone (besides the sweet little band that never comes off my finger). My wedding ring and the emerald ring Paul had custom made in Colombia for Leah when she was a baby. We have turned this house upside down and they are no where. Every other piece of jewelry is in place but these.

I never wear my diamond ring, I haven't for 7 years. So it was normal not to pay it attention when we moved into this home and put things away. We were cleaning out the jewelry boxes and noticed the 2 rings weren't there. Paul mentioned he thought he had locked them in the safe while he was staying in the motel for the month. Phew. Problem solved, they were safely locked away. My mind eased and I didn't think about it for a few days. But last night we checked and they weren't there.
I feel so sick about it. My ring wasn't big and expensive, glitzy and glamorous but it is priceless and I cant imagine replacing it. The emerald ring is one of a kind. Irreplaceable. I really hope some cleaning lady isn't wearing them, I really hope they arent in some dirty pawn shop in a display case. I really hope we find them.

1. a lot
2. Leah eats salads and carrots. Asher eats everything along with Maya but they certainly don't get it every meal.
3. I'm a HUGE sweet tooth so its hard not to let everyone indulge but I have been better lately, no body has to know about the pop tarts they just ate.....
4. Asher loves water. Leah hates water but will drink it occasionally. Maya drinks anything.
5. Watching TV, making messes
6. They are couch potatoes. Its my fault, I let them. But Leah came up to me today and told me all about the life cycle of sea crustaceans, it was actually factual....I asked her where she learned it and she said...Noggin. So I may or may not feel so bad.

Squabbles

Isn't this the most beautiful place for a Walmart? Sure beats Little Creeks views right Va folk? Its this big beautiful farm on the hill above the big dog of value shopping. I bet the owners were ticked when they broke ground a few years back. I'd've been. Is I'd've a word? sure.

And speaking of trips to the W. Its 20 miles away so this is how we get a quick nap in. If I time it right, just long enough so they still go to bed early. Nice. Since we still don't have a truck yet, [I HATE shopping for vehicles] we took out the middle seats in the van to have more room for large purchases to fit and the kids do love it so. They could sit back there and listen to Lady Gaga {good album btw} and eat chicken nuggets all day I bet, in fact I know, Leah told me this just today.

Meet Violet Tigress Melessa. We picked this little cupcake up the other day from a lady down the street. She is a great kitty and is hauled around all day with no clawing/meowing/biting just as depicted in the picture....and in purses-blankets-baskets-bowls-you name it. Awww cute.

Alright fine. Here is the mess of a living room. And you know what? Its still looks exactly like that. Ive have no desire to unpack the decor and put it up. (Although I did find those frames on the wall in the basement, then spray painted them :) I'm up to my ears in wallpaper removal messes {damn that stuff!} and up next is painting. I reallllly dont want to do it myself. Please someone come to the rescue. Do you see the kitchen? Oh crap. Its FULL of sticky paper. What have I gotten myself into....? But what about the red wall? To keep it or not....

And just because I love this little wrecking ball SO much. She really is what I say she is....an adorable, soy milk drinking wrecking ball. Try adding that to wallpaper scraps, kitty litter and a leaking toilet. FUN.

Squirt. My long lost friend has returned! I could never get it in Virginia and oh how I missed it. But never fear....its back on the shelves here in NE and chilling in my fridge.

The color of the walls in this home! Here's an example: kitchen- wallpapered, dining room- forest green plaid, bathroom-bright purple, bedroom- black and white with race cars, bedroom- sponged pink, upstairs-sponged blue. Gross.

Tootsie Rolls! I have a problem of eating when I'm stressed. Anyone else? Put a bag of these in my purse, or cupboard, or car, or canisters and they will be gone. Fast.

Our air conditioner doesn't work. When the home inspection was done, it was too cold to tell. Crap.

Fresh peaches. Fantastic deliciousness. I bought the most incredible peaches yesterday. They were good enough to turn the car around and go back for more. 98 cents a pound at Walmart.

The smell of my laundry room/back door entrance. Musty/10 years of old cat pee/ancient home. Makes me wanna throw up.
