There is 3 days left to sign up for the Favorite Things Swap. A lot have signed up, a lot more need to! In the words of Nike, "Just do it" You wont be disappointed.
Now...go out and enjoy this BEAUTIFUL Friday weather!
And one more thing...Ever since Heidi mentioned she had these at Lake Powell I have been making them nonstop, with a fresh batch this morning. I am pretty sure that we all have this recipe but just in case you don't;
Scotcharoos
bring to boil on the stove top;
1 cup Karo syrup
1 cup sugar
take off heat and add;
1 cup peanut butter
mix until creamy and add;
7 or so cups of Rice Krispies
put into greased 9x13 pan
melt in microwave in 30 sec intervals until creamy;
1/2 bag milk chocolate chips
1/2 bag butterscotch or peanut butter chips (I lean more towards butterscotch but they are both good)
spread on top. Cool and eat eat eat!

I wish....
~That there were no such thing as cavities. Especially for beautiful little girls who think sugar and spice and eveything nice are part of being a princess.
~That I liked eggs. I never have. I cook them every morning for my kids and can make them all sorts of beautiful ways but no matter what I cant gag them down.
~I had kept up my piano skills. There was a time in my life that I could play just about anything. Those days are gone. I sit at my moms piano everyday and plunk out the hymns like a 7 year old. Someday.
~That even when winter comes there would still be one warm day a week where we could swim outside. I already miss the pool, and indoor ones just aren't the same.
~I had kept better in touch with some long lost friends. I know this is bound to happen but I was remembering all the great people that influenced me in past years and that I haven't seen or talked to them in ages. It wouldn't be so hard to track them down, I just need the initiative.
~That there really was world peace. I hope to see it one day.
~That after I wash and fold the laundry so smelly good and neat, it would put itself away. Like some magical Marry Poppins finger snaps.

Babies in Dubai
I had a great last few days. Friday was my first appointment for this babe. I actually do have a little one in there. I listened to that sweet heart beat and felt all the wonderful emotions when you start the process of welcoming a new being into this life. There is nothing better. I am around 15 weeks so the next time I go I will find out what we are having. I'm thinking boy...
Jonah or Ezra.
I got to talk to my love. After 55 days straight at sea, they pulled into Dubai and had 4 days in port. I booked him a hotel room and wished I was there. I was in Pine Valley when he called and said it would cost 3 bucks a minute to talk so I raced to St George and found the cheapest phone card with the longest minutes and called him back. We talked for about an hour and it was wonderful! I miss that man. I love that man. I felt a bit giddy inside, like when you first start to really like someone and cant stop thinking about them. The sparks must still be there.
As much as this is no fun at all, there is also so much good that comes from being apart. Like respect, admiration, love, support....it has been a blessing in disguise. I think.

Sometimes......
This is what goes on while I, being the neglectful mother that I am, sits on the computer catching up with life. But it sure does bring out his brown eyes!!! Off to the bath......

Back to Nature
Don't we look good with purple hair? And Asher with pink jammies?
Here are some pictures from the last 2 weekends. I cant even tell you how much I love to be out here with family. It makes life so much easier and happier to always have something to do and people to see. Of course we love Pine Valley and spend as much time there as we can. My family has a ranch about an hour away outside of Silver Reef and we hardly ever get up there. As much as I hate to admit this, my kids have never been camping....since we have lived that east, there just has been no time to do fun outdoor things. So we went. Friday night. Leah and Asher had the BEST time throwing dirt, chasing cows, and eating junk food for dinner. It was beautiful. The peace and quiet and to look up and see the milky way at night. We will definitely be going again. Nature is beautiful.

I gotta haircut...hey hey hey hey

Well, I'm bored this lovely Wednesday evening. Well I'm not really bored I just don't have much to do. I have already emailed Paul 3 times today, my kids are asleep,and I am the only one at home so I cant make my usual trip to Walmart to buy things I don't really need like fudge bars, cocoa puffs, make-up, you know...the fun stuff. I got a get away trip over the weekend to Provo to see my sister Julie and act like I was young and single....ya, that didn't work. She cut my hair and and I feel now like more of a mom. Which is what I want....cause that's what I am. If ever in Provo...go see Julie at Paul Mitchell while she is cheap (she is done is Nov.) She is excellent!!! Oh, and thanks to Valerie for the great hi-lights.
We came home and spent the rest of the weekend in Pine Valley. I talked to Paul for about 10 minutes on Sunday. Productive and eventful days are the best. Sorry I put 4 pictures of my face. Just showing off Julies and Valeries talent.
