The death of me

  • Wet floors! Especially if the water comes out of the bath tub from 3 little boogers with cups in there hands...I go nuts...must be karma since my favorite thing to do was just that when I was young.
  • Dust pans! Sweep sweep sweep. All the time. I am constantly misplacing that damn thing and next thing I know my toddler is spreading the dirt piles everywhere.
  • Snot! Its been around for months. And I'm sick of it.
  • Lost! Freak man! Freak me out man! If you don't watch it then good, you aren't a crazy addict.
  • No calorie dark colored caffeinated sodas!  Ive mentioned the name way too many times and this dark delicious devil really will be the death of me.
  • House hunting!  Nope, the house didn't go through. Another trip to NE next week.
  • Delta Airlines!   Not a fan. Not a fan of buying peanut M&Ms for 3 bucks. Not a fan of waiting on the runways for hours. Not a fan of overbooked flights. Not a fan at all.
  • P-daddys job!  {Confession} life has been sooo much easier since he can scam out of things by using the "I'm getting out" sentence BUT....the navy still s-u-c-k-s! Agreed? agreed.
  • Easter candylicious!  At the commissary the other day they had crates of bags of candy for 25 cents! Like m&ms, 3 musketeers, milky ways, skittles.... I stocked up and now so has my butt....

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico was a nice get away and sleeping in was the best!
One day we sailed out to an island on a catamaran. We snorkeled, fed fish, fed iguanas, fried our skin and drank all the rum punch we wanted...or maybe just cokes :)

Absolutely the coolest and palest couple around! I fell right on the tush after that toe touch. And people laughed.  No enhancing these photos...the water really is that blue, and we really are that white!

The view from our hotel and along Isla Verde where we stayed.  We ate that crab for dinner...sike. Mangoes taste superb when you are sitting on a balcony and the warm humid wind is blowing in your face. Yes friends, I really went to Puerto Rico with yellow hair....character building.

2 of our days were spent in Old San Juan. We fell in love with the history, charm and food! Oh, the food! I will forever crave Puerto Rican rice and beans.
The buildings are centuries old and so beautiful.

The weather was awesome, the people friendly, the water nice, the sun hot, the food GREAT! Puerto Rico is calling.....you better answer....soon :) I loved every minute.
A BIG THANK YOU TO LYNDSI AND NATE for dealing with the 3 little lives we are in charge of  while we were gone. We owe you down the road big time.

On the hunt

Paul, Maya and I flew out to Nebraska last week to look for a home and so I could see where we will be raising our chitlets for the next long while.  I would say it was semi-successful.  We found a few homes, made a few offers and are currently playing the bidding game with one home. Its a home that I liked but didn't love. I realize that probably wont happen until we can swim in money and build what we want.  If it all goes through, great. I will be happy and we will have some Melessa ground in Auburn NE. If not, we will move on.
But I did really like the town.  There are 3,000 residents. Small small small.  No Target. No Walmart. No McDonald's. No shopping. Something that I will have to get used to. But a good thing.  More time to spend outside.
For bigger shopping we will have to drive about an hour to Omaha.
Our ward boundaries cover 100 miles. Our chapel is 25 miles away. 1 elementary, 1 high school, about 2 stoplights. But beautiful parks, lots of Nebraska pride, friendly people, good neighborhoods, a bowling alley, a community pool with a major slide!, beautiful rolling corn fields, farm land, and a big fat nuclear power plant right on the Missouri river.

A change. A different change. A good change. Fingers crossed.

Speaking of change...here's one that is not so good...
This is what happens when your crazy sister comes out to babysit your kids and you stay up way to late, drink way to much diet coke and think you can accomplish any hair fiasco in a day..... Please learn from me....
