Saturday April 25th

Im gonna miss....

This cute little home that housed us for 2+ years. 

Goodbye little home. You took care of us very well and will be greatly missed. Fingers crossed you dont get a crazy family in your walls in the next few weeks. But then again, maybe youre used to crazy....
Im also gonna miss....
Where many a handfuls of sand were emptied out in my car, bathtub, house and one year olds mouth.

Where a fearless little girl would just about drown herself in the tide.

Where a mermaid in the making would pretend all day

Where the inner yearnings for Kung Fu would burst out

I'm gonna miss.....

My cute little military ID sitting in my wallet ready to get me into any base, 10% off discounts at retailers, and the COMMISSARY. Man am I ever going to miss the commissary. We had a good relationship.

They rock.  And will {hopefully follow in our footsteps in the next 3 years and come out to the midwest;) }

Monday April 20th

Im gonna miss.....

 this is obvious.....FRIENDS!! 

 Of all shapes and sizes. From the drunken sailors Paul worked with *not all were drunks ;)* to the bishops family and everyone in between.  I have the best best best friends out here, you always will be....thanks to modern technology. 

**one of these things is not like the other, one of these things just isnt the same**

A week of Im gonna miss....

We are down to our last week ever on the east coast. For 7 years we have been looking forward to this....7 years. But today I find myself fighting back my sad mushy emotions....so you all get to enjoy it along with me.  I {hope to} post something everyday of things I will miss. 

So for Sunday April 19th I'm gonna miss the beautiful springs here. Where azalea and dogwood blossoms are everywhere in sight and the botanical gardens right down the street. 

 

Breakfast talk

Im sitting here eating breakfast (waffles, eggs, diet dr pepper), reading facebook, blogger, craiglist and listening to my childrens conversation....

Leah looking at the pictures in a college magazine; "Oh my gosh mom, I do not want a baby like you when I am old, I want to be like this" {points to a picture of a student in the nursing program} 

Asher;  "Im going to be a big huge meat eater dinosaur."

Leah; "School can not teach you to be a dinosaur and not a mom either."

Asher; "Yes it can!!!"

Leah; "No it cant!"

Asher; "Yes it can!  Say yes it can too mom!"

Leah;  "Mom doesnt know, she is just an old girl with babies."

Ouch.  I laughed and thought.... sometimes kids are overrated. :)

~has become a clean freak but only in her room

~makes suckers out of grapes and pretzel sticks after every meal

~uses countless printer paper daily drawing numbers, letters, stories, people

~would wear her swim suit 24 hours 7 days a week if possible

Asher 3 years 1 month

~knows more about dinosaurs than his mother

~cant keep his clothes on

~eats it all and goes for seconds

~plays tag book all day long

~could read Daniel and the Lions Den and Jonah and the Whale over and over and over

Maya 1 year 1 month

~b-lines it for the toilet every chance she can get

~weighs 23 pounds

~has a stuffed bunny she loves more than life

~watches for birds all day long

~hasn't worn a pair of shoes yet (longer than a trip to the store anyhoo)
