Bleepity bleep bleep

On our super fab date tonight consisting of dinner and pedicures(hubbys idea) with a bonus lip wax, we were walking out of the mall and I noticed this sign. Apparently the Hampton Roads area of which I live has banned cursing in public. Pretty bleeping sweet if you ask me.
I think the bleeping signs are the best bleeping part.

Big fun at Big K

These all happened at the same Kmart in the same checkout line....different days.

#1 I was checking out when the lady rang up my total...it was way higher than I thought so I looked at the screen and noticed she had scanned the idiot guys stuff behind me.  He totally saw it happen and wasnt going to say anything...
So my question is, were you going to mug me outside to get your sesame street toddler outfit or what?

#2 I was checking out when a screaming match broke out in front of the Red Box between a white trash (and I mean white trash) couple and two 20 something black guys. Apparently the guys were taken too long to decide what movie they want and it ended in some obscene language and the white trash cigarette holding girl saying "Shoot me, shoot me!"
So my question is, Is a 1.00 dollar movie worth getting shot over?

#3 This one is the best.
I was checking out when 2 employees of Kmart both girls 2 aisles down started fighting, and I mean fighting!  Weaves pulled out, clothes torn, scratched faces.  Security couldnt even pull it apart for awhile. And the bigger one wasnt going out without a fight with them either.
Yikes.
So my question is,  How friendly is your Big K?
Maybe I should steer clear for awhile.

Life in the now

Paul and I went to Tim McGraw on Saturday night. He rocked.  But I was actually more impressed with his band and more specifically his violin/fiddle/guitar/harmonica playing short, latino, ball cap wearing band member. He was sooo amazing.  I just loved watching all 10 of them each with a different instrument come together and make awesome sounds.
Someday, I hope to play the violin or make my kids become as good as the Chipman gals. :)

Fathers Day was good.  After a year and a half in this ward we were called as the Nursery leaders {surprise surprise}  Just when Asher was getting used to being there without me.  We have 37 youngsters in a cramped hot room but we are super happy to be working together.

My dryer is starting to squeak. Its pretty annoying and will only do it if the kids are napping or I want to go to bed. And lazy me doesn't want to dig in there and find out what the problem is.

Baby M has thrush again!!  We have battled on and off with this since she was born.  I'm actually getting used to her purple mouth and coordinate outfits accordingly.

My Madre is coming to town, hooray! We all thought she was coming tonight. Kimi called to get her itinerary from me to print her tickets and an hour before she was leaving I noticed it was for tomorrow instead of today. Whoops. Good thing she wasn't down in Vegas before we realized.

I ate my first bag of summer Bing cherries. They were sooo delish. Cherries are my fav summer fruit and it shows on my stained clothes.

Looking up

Baby M. usually is not a happy camper when she wakes up from any sort of sleep. She likes what she wants right then, and cries until she gets it. I layed her down for a nap upstairs today knowing I had 15 or so minutes to get some things done before she would call me. I was downstairs in the kitchen for about 30 minutes and thought it odd that she wasnt crying, so I went to check on her and she was wide awake, smiling, cooing, happy as a flower watching the corner of the ceiling. I gave her kisses and tried to get her attention but she wouldnt look away from it for about a minute.
What a neat experience that part of my day was and that right there re-affirms my faith that we are loved and looked over from heaven. How blessed we are.

Maya the bee

Baby M. is 3 months. The time has gone by fast although sadly it has shown up in the dark circles under my eyes. But she is worth it.
She reminds me so much of Leah and Im loving that. These are some things about her I love;
-She drinks from a bottle and nurses fabulously, meaning I can leave her anytime I need a me moment.
-She loves loves her binky
-She blows spit bubbles
-She talks to and grabs at her hangy toys in her play yard.
-Her hair still hasnt fallen out :)
-She is a super chubster
-She loves her bro and sis
-She is starting to go to bed great

On and on the list could go. Babies are simply the very best.

Our Pirate Adventure

One fine fast and testimony meeting Sunday in Mesquite Nevada, a little 4 year old gal by the name of AJ (the cutest niece around) said to her mother {very loudly} in the quiet of sacrament, "mommy, was Jesus a pirate?" Laughter ensued. Wish I could of been there.

But this fine fast and testimony meeting Sunday in Norfolk Virginia, I have the answer.....probably. He did sail the high seas didn't he? And if he was, then he was probably pretty cool as we found out at the Blackbeard Pirate Festival.
The kids were a little unsure of the bearded, leather wearing, gold snatching sailors, but on a potty break in the bathroom, Leah told me she thought they were pretty. Asher was happy when he got his funnel cake.
It was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Arr matey....
