Heres what happens when we cross the Arizona/Utah border for Leah:
Every morning she heads to the barn, and halters her good friend, Expensive.
This duo makes quite the pair.
He can sense her calm sweet spirit and she knows how to handle him.
It really is a gift.
They saddle up and off they go to get their barrel race on.
She practiced and practiced.
Running the pattern.
Walking the pattern.
Where to place hands.
Which barrels to spot next.
When to kick hard.
When to pull reigns.
Then the big nights finally came

Nana and Grandpa found a great seat to cheer her on.
Asher looked on in utter amazement....or maybe he was just watching for his nachos to come :)
She was so confident.
She was so happy. And a tad bit nervous.
It was a proud Aunt moment.
It was a proud little sister moment too.
