I took a quick trip to Nebraska to spend some time with Paul. It was a great weekend with no kids, sleeping in until 10 okay...11 am, and home town diners. Our house is set to close on the 29th of the month and we are chomping at the bit to get out there and get settled. I think I just may really like this small town where tractors rule the highways, everything shuts down for high school graduation, bald eagles fly freely, and diners are still cash only. See for yourself.....
The house. I still love it and dream about what I'm going to do with it, inside and out.
One of the main roads. We found a nice little truck at the local car dealership...to get it or not...that is the question......?
Some countryside....

Oh my gosh, it does look so nice! I love old houses with character too, I'm looking for one myself!!
So you mentioned maybe going to school? How big is that school?
Hope you guys enjoy moving into your new house...if you know anyone is crappy Newport News that wants to buy let me know, I still have mine for sale! :)
Looks absolutely beautiful and peaceful.
Nicole.... Im not sure the population of it but I would say about the size of a community college.
Good luck on selling your house...fingers crossed you can cut ties with VA before to long :) !
I told you that place has a lot to offer.
oh, i love it. that house looks like a dream. i can't wait to see pics of the inside.
I'm drooling over the porch.
Looks like a blast! It's great when life can slow down a little bit, huh? Good luck with everything and I hope the 29th gets here quick for you all!
It looks like the perfect place to raise your family. You're going to love it.
It all looks so fantastic, your cute house especially! I'm so happy for you guys.
Country livin for the country folks. I can see ya already. Sittin out on your porch swing sipping Diet coke with your feet propped up in your flannel shirt and overalls. HA HA I hope you all can make it just another week and then you will be in that beatiful home. Good luck with every thing.
Love the house! You're going to love it there. We live in a little dinky town too (only we are just 15 minutes away from Provo) and some of the places here only take cash too! I was worried I wouldn't like it, I LOVE IT!
It looks like a scene from a movie, not a place people actually live! Hope you love it!
Oh Jaesi, it looks great. Bet your kiddos will love it there! (and you, too.) :)
What a beautiful little town! I love the city and everything, but if I had to choose I'd choose small town..
And thank you for your last post. You took the very frequent thoughts right out of my head. It drives me craaaaaazy. Utah-some areas more than others- is one big competition. Everyone needs to reeeeeeeeLAX!
It looks awesome! I hope you guys absolutely LOVE it!
That is the cutest little house i've ever seen! It looks like something out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. The rolling green hills are beautiful and I've heard you can't find nicer people than in the mid west. Enjoy this time of settling in- it is so exciting!
Hey, I don't remember how I found your blog, but I think you're moving into my parents home town, and our ward. Nebraska City Ward? I hope so! We're really excited to have new friends (i.e., ones we haven't met yet) move in! We'll be ready to welcome you to the good life!
Jennifer...wow! We are going to be in the NE city ward. That is awesome! Are you in NE city? Who are your parents?
Im excited to meet you and to be out there already...!!!
Do you have a blog?
What a fantastic town. I'm still dying over your house. I want to live there.
It looks like a great place to raise a family. I was glad to find you on facebook. I will say that I have been stalking your blog for a while. It is seriously one of my favorites to read. I love that you just put it all out there...it is real life not just the best of the best. It is refreshing. Now that I have admitted to reading the blog all the time, I hope you don't mind if I add a link on mine?! Hope you are able to get settled quickly (we have been here over a month and I still don't feel real settled). It looks like you will enjoy it.
It is soooo beautiful. I bet you are just going to love it!
Kellee of course not :)
Im not into being the best. at all.
Everything looks so incredible and darling and charming. How exciting!
its so small and cute! i would love that... my husband makes fun of me cuz he grew up in big cities and i cringe at how big st george has gotten! good luck to you and your cute little family
I LOVE that house! It is so freakin cute! And I love the look of the town! Lucky you.
Gorgeous, gorgeous. The area looks so quaint and homey. How nice that it's a college town, too. That's one of my criteria for the small town we will one day move to - a university nearby - there are so many perks.
And I am so in love with your house.
Jaesi, I hope you see this. I wanted to get down on my knees and beg you for your awesome pasta salad recipe. I want to make it for the ward picnic this saturday. If you get the chance to email it to me, this is my address: numama2005@yahoo.com. Thank you!!
