I have been in the mood for these little leafy greens lately. I made them tonight sauteing in garlic, butter and balsamic vinegar but it wasn't to my liking. Anyone have a good tried and true recipe for these cute little cabbages?

Conversation between Leah and me the other day as we were eating breakfast. It really doesn't have much to do with breakfast, its just when it took place.
Leah "Mom, you aren't the beast are you?" (feeling the hair that needs to be trimmed on the back of my neck)
Me: "No, why?"
Leah: "Okay, you can be the beast today."
Me: "What, why?"
Leah: " Because you are growing fur."

I love Jon and Kate Plus Eight. I always watch it before I have to take my three kids somewhere, and I always come away feeling like my life really isn't that hard. One whiney 2 year old is nothing compared to what they go through daily!

Eli is so excited for LOST. I was a little confused after the season finale. Love John and Kate the few times I have watched, it just seems like Kate is so mean to her hubby.

Growing fur huh? So...I totally just watched season 3 lost to gear up for this season! I am all caught up and totally recommend watching them again. It is so much better watching them back to back and without commercials! But...I will miss this Thursday...I will be on the road up North and most likely won't get there in time for the show...so let me know what I miss!

I LOVE Jon and Kate plus 8! Kate reminds me so much of my sister-in-law - it really freaked Cameron when he watched it for the first time. Hehe.

I LOVE Lost!! I am so excited for the new season, I totally don't think that Charlie is dead either, he over came to much to just kill him off right as they are getting rescued! Jon and Kate is a funny show too! Got to love her for all her organization! She does need to be a little bit nicer to her hubby though!

LOST LOST LOST. FIN--A-LLY. And we LOVED Prison Break, the first season was soooooo good. The third is okay, but lots of hand to hand fighting, it's a little bothersome, ANYWAY, I wish I had a good recipe for brussel sprouts. I had them once and they were amazing, but when I tried to cook them myself, they were terrible. Thanks for your ham and bean soup recipe, I think I'm going to try it out tonight. Funny Leah and the fur.

You never cease to make me laugh. You blog about the funniest things....and I find myself laughing out loud! I am so on the "Lost" train... woo-woo! Dave and I have been so pumped waiting for this to start because due to the writers strike, our life has become a little too dependent upon reality t.v. I can't help it, and fully know that I am a junkie! Intervention anyone?? About Jon and Kate plus eight.....SOOOO Love it! I DVR it each week and it amazes me how so on the go she is. She cracks me up too!
About the missionary feeding...I have a super good recipe for Chicken Lasagna. Okay. I am not a huge lasagna fan, but this is amazing! It is chicken #1 instead of beef...and a white sauce instead of red. It has spinach and all kinds of yummies! Let me know if you are interested. It is a must try and not even just for missionaries. My kids eat it up!!
