dirty laundry

Sometimes,
we have more than just soiled clothes to to air out.

Yesterday we had a

nail clawing
teeth biting
blood curdling
scream fest
going on in the back seat of the van
driving home from school.

It was all about a toy lady bug
and who's grimy little hands were holding it.

So I recited a few choice phrases
grabbed the damn toy

and threw it to its grave
out the drivers side window

in the middle of road on Acacia Way.

We haven't seen it since.

{momma hates toys}

Here's the after math, this went on for a good hour.

He still boils with anger when he thinks of the missing bug and how mean I was.
But hopefully learned a lesson.

Next time- it will be Woody.

(please tell me my kids are not the only hoodlums out there)

What's she whispering about the cops?

We have some real horrible days at our house too. :(

haha I love it! Kai is just the same, thanks for making me feel better! Please send Asher to us, I have a hunch he would fit in perfect!

The "cops" get called. Leah is too old for it now but the others usually straighten right up they they know a man in uniform will come knocking.

**I know I know...Im freaking my kids out about law enforcement but it WORKS!**
and I will slide the truth in one day....;) cops have much better things to do with their time. :)

Danae- DONE hon. when is a good time?

Best part about this is that you can use the video to threaten him when he is a teenager.

Oh Honey your kids are totally not the only ones that are naughty. My sweet little 4 year old told me yesterday after I told her she couldn't do something that "She wanted her real Mommy back." and that she didn't like her mommy only her aunt Mary(whom she frequently tells me that she wants to live with Aunt Mary forever).

Yeah, my kid likes my sister better then me, her own mother.

We ALL have naughty kids!

That is seriously awesome! I am so happy to have learned that cold showers work AMAZING to stop fits like that. I learned this when we had a few weeks of not wanting to poop on the potty after being potty trained for 3 months. Now anytime he gets to that point I turned on the shower and start dragging him towards it and he immediately calms down and says, "I settle down." haha :) Try it sometime! Mother of century here! Is that considered child abuse? haha :)

I made my kids watch this and threatened them with the same consequence, I think it will work for a while. You are a genius my friend.

After watching it Andrina swept the floor for me & set the table.. I owe you.

However, Andrina thinks he needs to say sorry to you, she prayed for him tonight to be nice to you, & she said she'd "marry that man, if he learns to respect". So there you have it.

Oh my gosh- I LOVE ANDRINA.

you can rest assure her he did say sorry. And is a tad embarrassed (as embarrassed as a 5 year old boy can be) that I put this on here.

Hes been so lovey to me today- until he remembers the toy, then gets ticked again :)

So funny! Nothing like a good ole meltdown!

He deserves to be mad. It would have been wise to take it away, and let him earn it back. If the mother acts impulsively, the child will.

You shouldn't film your kids while in a fit.

Oh and Pam, your story of abuse did not intrigue me.

You woman are crazy. I am no longer following this blog.

Ok, this is just funny. All of it. Including the anonymous commenter above. What the heck? Not cool.

Dear Anonymous,

Go worry about your own kids and let's hope they aren't messed up from having a mom that thinks she knows everything and how to parent everybody elses kids too.

Respectfully,

The mom that uses cold showers as a threat.
