fa fa fa friday

~I was at the park today with a friend talking about the 2nd Transformer movie and how I wasnt going to let my kids watch it because of the inappropriate innuendos its littered with, and guess where my 3 and 4 year old are right this very second?.....down the street watching Bumble Bee and Decepticons fight it out. hmmmm.

~Since we moved to Nebraska the weeks have just flown by. I have nothing to show for it. Still have bright pink and blue walls, still have boxes lying around, still am a bit "moved depressed"

~Slap in my face moment: Leah changed her mind about what she wants to be when she is big, "I want to be you mom" Why? I asked. "Because you watch TV, you eat treats, you wear makeup."
I will be the first one to admit, I do all of these things and more.

~The Schwann Man is my best friend these days. Have you had the Toffee Crunch bars? They are killer. killer. killer.

~There is a show on MTV called 16 and pregnant. I loved every episode. But the last one, had me balling my eyes out (in a good way). This 16 year old girl and boy had to face the very huge decision of adoption with no support from their not normal families. A mistake turned into a miracle for another family. I loved it.

~I finally started working out again. Only 2 years later. But Im still eating toffee bars....at 1130 pm at night.

~The county fair is next week. This is b-i-g here. Lets hope it doesnt disappoint.

~We are doing some major projects to the outside of our home. Exterior painting, a new deck, concrete work. You know what this means? Goodbye nest egg. Darned.

~I love the green here. I love the corn fields. I love the soybean fields. I love no street lights. And no noise. And seeing coyotes up on the hills at dusk. And the Dairy Sweet.

~Ashers favorite song right now is Big Green Tractor, by Jason Aldean. He wont sing it unless he is in character which is riding his green tractor with some sort of hat and boot ensemble and it is hilarious. I love my boy.

~Im trying not to swear. And its hard. I hit a concrete slab at the gas station with my car door the other day and from the backseat before I had a chance to say it I hear "damnit" A 3 year old shouldnt think of that when something goes wrong. I gotsta change.

~I miss my Grandma. A lot. She wont be around for much longer and I hate living so far apart. I will call her tomorrow.

Buenos noches amigos y amigas.

You rock, seriously. Movie choices I've made and then "unmade" -- 1000000. Mistakes made in front of my children: 1000000. Life going on -- still! ;) although, shame on you, cause now it's 1 in the morning and I cannot get to a toffee crunch bar! Boo! ;)

I bawled like a BIG baby in that episode of SAP. I really love that show and I hope it's shedding light on how hard teenage pregnancy is.

Great recap of life. I am picturing Asher in his boot/hat get up singing about a green tractor. Great image. :)

Oh Jaesi, I miss you! I miss Nancy too; got a BAD haircut yesterday. How are you dealing with the grow-out? I need to know!!! Have you buzzed it again? Have you discovered a magic hair product that makes your hair look chic no matter how bad it really is?

Catherine...
bad haircuts are the worst. sorry.
I actually had a good haircut...(although when dealing with an inch of hair, I cant see how it would be hard to mess it up) Im just letting the top grow and cutting the back so eventually its one length again. I look funny but oh well. Hair products? Remember that Im in the middle of no where.....
Miss you guys!
