Read my vows...

Since it seems that sometimes I am married to this blogging thing. Flip.

I do solemnly swear to never....
-put music on my blog again. There is enough of it out there
-write love notes to my husband. Since I can just speak to him
-post pictures of my kids potty training on the toilet with a book
-type the words Twilight, Stephanie Meyer, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking dawn
-brag or seem to brag
-show my house from room to room

I do solemnly swear to always....
-spell check
-keep it simple
-blog browse...okay stalk
-cuss at my leisure
-ask for advice
-love it till death do us part

*these are my vows, no offense taken please ;)*

Music on a blog! Booo!!! Pretty sure I've offended peeps by things I've posted about, but that's what blogs are for, right? Stir up a little controversy?? :)

Melenie said...

Here Here! I agree with you 100%. I'm pretty sure that most of the husbands that are written about never look at the blog in the first place, at least mine never does, therefore I'll never be writing how "hot he is" or that sort of thing.
I quite enjoy your cussing. :)

jaesi said...

stir up a little controversy huh? is that what your all about Crystal? ;)
I really dont mean to offend anyone, really.
I just dont like it and have learned from it.

And Abby, bragging about kids is a must if they are as cute as SAM!

Nicely put !!! Not that I blog or anything, just stalkin' from me. I think you would LOVE this blog, seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com. It is HILARIOUS !!! It is all made up and freakin' funny !! The girl is a returned missionary, married and does have her own real blog !! Check it out and let me know what you think !!

oh come on we don't mind if you take photos of your house room to room! (I only say that because I've done it! lol!) By the way, yes my husband (Josh) is still out in Norfolk but will be leaving there sometime next week to be here for good! YEAH! He's had to finish his job as an admirals aid, and we didn't know when he'd be done and didn't want the kids to miss a bunch of school, and they start before he gets back! (Jonas is going into 1st, Maddie will be going into Kindergarden).

ps, it is best if you start at the beginning of her blog to fully appreciate the craziness of this girls imagination !!!

Doesn't swearing sometimes just make you feel so much better? haha :) It is a must for me! Jaesi you crack me up!

Too funny, Jaesi. I love your vows and couldn't agree more. I've made a few of my own - here's hoping I can stick to them.

jaesi said...

Yes Heather, Ive read it before. It SO incompasses what these blogs are.
but I need to read it from the beginning.

Yes Pam, it does.

Heather T. said...

I thought you may have already read it. It makes me giggle.

you are not sappy.

sounds good!!
except you could brag a tiny bit since you do have the cutest kids, and you're so stinkin cute!!!

Brandi Schall said...

Yes I think bragging about husbands should be kept to birthdays and anniversary's at maximum.

But, you hit it all spot-on! I'm glad we can all talk about seriously so blessed, now that it's out of the closet. Phew.

Emma said...

Nice Jaesi, how do you really feel? :)

jaesi said...

Why what do you mean Emma? :)

Janey said...

I love it! It was a very nice way of saying "Things That Must Go on Blogs" and "Things That Must Stay on Blogs". I've been wanting to write something like that and now since you hit it spot on I want to quote you on my blog. The "keeping it simple" is my only challenge.

Emily Harper said...

HA! Everytime I listen to the music on my blog (which I happen to love) I will think of you! I'm pretty sure that everyone is guilty of at least one if not all of these! I love that you just went for it! But the thing that bothers me the most about blogging is when people don't freaking update! Come on, don't act like you really have a life people!

Boo and Sara said...

I love this post. You are so clever. I am going to take the music off my blog because it annoys me when I am opening up other blogs and I have 3 songs playing at once. I have been meaning to do this for awhile and you have reminded me to do it. Thanks.

jaesi said...

I know, ever since blogger made open links to others blogs it becomes a mess with so many songs playing.

But I really liked your list Sara..

Emily, yes, updating is a must. I should have listed that.

Im guilty of all of them. live and learn and do no more.

Kimi said...

see you tomarrow bia.

Kristen said...

Yep, pretty sure I've broken every one of your vows. Except the Twilight ones. And the music one.

I always write love notes to my hubby (always as in anniversarys and birthdays) because he checks my blog and work and it quite makes his day when I post about him.

I will ALWAYS brag about my kids cause, quite frankly, I think they are the best (doesn't every mom). And I have my blog printed into a book that I know they will read when they are older. So I like to brag about my kids! And my husband.

I've shown my house from room to room too. I was pretty excited to do it when I moved into my new house, actually.

Aaaand, I love potty training pictures. Who doesn't? Oh wait, you I guess, haha.

I figure, if someone doesn't like my blog then they don't have to read it. It's for me, not for them.

Holly Woolsey said...

Totally agree. Great post

Jess said...

I am so with Kristen on this one! It seems that some people blog for other's enjoyment only. I myself, blog for my family, because like Kristen it is going to be printed into a book, and my children will read all about themselves as children. Of course I want them to know how beautiful, funny, and smart they were. And won't it be great when they are older to read about how much I love their father, and all the great reasons why? So there you have it...I blog for my family. It is just a little bit funner knowing that there are others out there reading it too! If you don't like it, don't read it!

Oh Jaesi. You always seem to come up with the wittiest things! I have to agree with some, but others interest me. I have to admit, I love seeing pictures of peoples homes because I love to see how they decorate and what their style is. Plus I guess it makes me feel like I know them a little better. I also blog as a 'family journal,' although I often post for advice or input which I love all the response. How else can you get so much input so quickly and easily? I agree with Kristen and Jess, if you don't like it, don't read it. I have to admit there are a few blogs I have stopped reading!

jaesi said...

yep if you no like no read.....this one included! :)

Wow, reading your comments is like listening in on a conversation! I've kind of been all blogged out lately. Maybe now with school starting I'll have some more free time, but maybe not. Anywho, we're swimming this Friday at 11:30...Mommas and kiddies. Call me to find out where. I'd hate to put it on here and have some freaky person show up!

Wow... who do you think you are??? The GOD of the blogging world? This post is very confusing as to why you would even post something this ubsurd. Is it to offend all of your friends or just to see how many people will respond? I believe all of the people that agreed with you have NO opinion or else they wouldn't be scared to tell you the truth! I personally think your blog is annoying and think you only blog for other people to read it... what about your family??? You do have THREE kids don't you... does your husband even get to talk to you or do you blog ALL the time??????????? GET A LIFE!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

wow! who peed in their cheerios this morning?

Abby said...

wowzers... this is getting interesting...

Kristen said...

Holy smokes. Someone is ticked about that post!

And who cares why else anyone blogs? Does it really matter?

Tara Wayne Malakai Maddux Kenya Alofipo said...

like she said before, if you don't like then don't read it. who ever is the anonymous comment why you scared to say who you are???? Grow up already.

Pam from Over the Big Moon said...

I'm with Tara - GROW UP! If you don't like her blog then why the hell are you reading it and taking the time to comment?

Jaesi's blog is personally one my favorite blogs to read. She is always funny and just says how she feels. It is refreshing.

GO TEAM JAESI! haha :)

jaesi said...

okay that was mean, sorry.

If you read this blog then you should understand my humor by now.
very dry.

Yes, I DO blog for other peoples enjoyment AS WELL as for my families enjoyment and memories. Isnt that why everyone does?

Wow, girl you have some pent up anger! Just kidding you are funny! I definitely have broken your vows as well, but really it's for me. i don't journal much and I scrapbook on line so mine will be a book for my kids someday. I have to capture their moments and put it somewhere. If I didn't, it would just be trapped in a file somewhere and I would never develop them. :) I will keep track of your blog to make sure you don't break your vows! Just kidding!

Kortney Manning said...

Whoa! I just happened upon your blog. But I TOTALLY agree 1000%. I would also add, "not post half naked pictures of my pregnant body." I agree- the pregnant form is beautiful, but isn't it also private?

All of the things listed are total pet peeves of mine. And all of the psycho "mommy-bloggers" who commented above are delusional.
